A textured, hammered gold-tone hexagon stud tops a hand-painted fan-shaped drop in vivid teal, layered with green and navy leaves and soft abstract floral brushstrokes in cream and blush. Part of the Artritos collection, a collaboration with local weavers and artisans from Sarart, Paoy, and Pinili in Ilocos Norte, handcrafted by Ms. Angelie Banag. As with all hand-painted artisan pieces, slight variation in the brushwork between earrings is natural and part of what makes each pair one of a kind. Lightweight enough for everyday wear, yet bold enough to be the centerpiece of an outfit. Curated by Kathleen Penhollow for the Ilocos Emporium jewelry collection, this piece carries forward Ilocos Norte’s artistic heritage in a wearable, modern form.
